Chiswick Pier
40cm diameter
Acrylic on Canvas
Before taking part in a Fair at Chiswick Pier I went to view the area and plan my art display.
It was a crisp sunny spring day and the scene was charming. There was a very nicely illustrated poster of the different species of birds in the area, I imagined a flamingo looking at the poster wondering what she could do to be included on the poster. The subject of acceptance and inclusion came to mind.

Ruislip
40cm diameter
Acrylic on Canvas
Painted while walking through my local town of Ruislip after the first Corona Virus lockdown. Normally full of life, it was quite still with the exception of some new ducklings with parents at the pond wading beneath the weeping willows. A host of familiar feelings came to mind and I imagined my sister as a child on her bicycle eagerly cycling to the jumble sales for books in the 13th Century Barn which held grand jumble sales and now houses Duck Pond Craft Markets that I exhibit at. The library was also a big part of my childhood memories, we spent a while choosing books. The moat is at the foot of Manor House always looking intriguing as it sits on the hill full of historical secrets.
